Ergonomic risk assessments

This application enables office and production  employees to perform risk assessments required by British law, all from the convenience of their remote locations. The employer can then provide them with ergonomic working conditions.

About the client

Ergofy offers online software for Display Screen Equipment training and assessments, helping organizations comply with DSE regulations. Their tailored solutions support both home and office setups, providing personalized training for employees. The platform streamlines risk management, enabling employees to address minor issues, while administrators benefit from a user-friendly dashboard for easy management of assessments and training.

The challenge

Our primary challenge was to completely redesign the application while addressing the limitations of the existing features. The outdated user interface and less intuitive user experience posed a barrier to engagement and efficiency. Additionally, the application lacked several critical functionalities required to meet the users' evolving needs, making the redesign both a technical and creative challenge.

Goals

Our main goal was to deliver a comprehensive transformation of the application, incorporating a modern and user-friendly design that elevates its overall usability. We aimed to introduce new features to expand its capabilities while significantly enhancing the user experience (UX) of the existing functionalities. The objective was to create a seamless, efficient, and engaging platform that not only meets but exceeds user expectations.

What we did

Wireframes

We started our work by creating simple Wireframes. This allowed us to verify the scope of functionality and behaviour of target users. In addition, an interactive prototype was made, allowing us to check all processes' operations.

Design system

We created a design system to meet the project's needs. Thanks to it, the subsequent introduction of newer functionalities was quick and efficient. Moreover, it will allow you to expand the application quickly in the future.

Dashboard

Thanks to the dashboard's output of basic functionalities and statistics, you only need a glance  to find out the essential information about employees and quickly perform the most repetitive actions.

User management

We have organised and systematised functionalities related to system user management. Now, employers can add and manage employees much more efficiently and conveniently.

Assessment process

In addition to the administration side, we designed an application for conducting employee surveys and assessments. The application supports various questions and assists employees to make their workplace more ergonomic.

Results

Our work resulted in a highly functional and user-centric application, delivering significant improvements across multiple areas. The creation of wireframes and an interactive prototype allowed us to refine the scope and ensure smooth processes before development. The introduction of a robust design system streamlined the addition of new features and set the foundation for easy scalability in the future. Key enhancements, such as a dashboard for instant access to essential statistics and streamlined user management, greatly improved operational efficiency. Additionally, the assessment process was redesigned to better support employees in creating more ergonomic and productive work environments.
